Challenge
The Blackout of August 14, 2003, caused a fire destroying a boiler at a local steel mill. Monarch was requested to assess the damage, develop the repair scope, create the necessary budget and finalize the schedule to manage the project. On top of that, due to the age of the boiler, very few drawings were available.
Solution
Monarch responded by documenting and measuring the boiler, developing arrangement and detailed drawings for fabrication and installation of all formed tubing, panels, headers, ductwork, casing, piping, fans, and misc. equipment. The project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule.
